Ha Long Bay is a famous for its emerald waters and thousands of limestone islands. "Ha Long" translates to "where the dragon descends into the sea", as the legend states that Ha Long bay was created by a huge dragon from the mountains. Unfortunately, on the day these were taken it was a rainy and misty day with limited visibility, but it was still very beautiful.
Among the many islands in Ha Long bay, there are quite a few caves on certain islands. Duong Thien cave translates to "Paradise Cave". It is 200 metres above sea level, and was discovered in 2005 by a local man. The cave is 31km long.
