Photographs from Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, in Southern Vietnam, as well as photographs from the Cu Chi Tunnels.
Photos taken around Saigon / Ho Chi Minh City include the Fine Arts Museum, the city centre, Tao Dan Park, as well as random shots from the streets.
The Cu Chi tunnels are a huge complex of underground tunnels a little over an hour outside of Ho Chi Minh City. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong soldiers to hide, and provide supply routes, medical care, food and weapon storages, and living areas for many North Vietnamese fighters. They were essential to the Viet Cong against the US Army during the war, assisting the Vietnamese protection and resistance from American military. A small part of the tunnels is accessible to tourists.
